Screening report 12.04.2009
I had a screening on Sunday, 12th April at MediR (Takada-no-baba, Tokyo). MediR is a citizen media centre, so the place is used for media learning, and media-related events.
Take off your shoes! Shoes box.
My film was made by non-professional, tiny video camera and digital camera. So, I was frightened by seeing their big screen in the room! Brian & Co. pictures must be distorted!!??
About 13 -15 people came to see the screening. I wondered how Japanese people think of Parliament Square activists...!
After the screening, I did a post screening talk with the organiser, Negoro-san for the first time. I had thought I did not have so much things to say, because I expressed most of my opinion in my film. So, what should I add??
However, once screening talk had started, I was surprised by myself. I spoke too much!! The topics were varied from "how I started filming" kind of subject to "I had a big battle with my parents!" kind of private chatting! Unbelievabale!!
I will have post screening talk in future, too. But I think every talk will be different by the combination of the organisers, and audiences. For example, subjects will be different if most of the audiences are "hard-core" activists, or artists, mothers, and so on...
I really enjoyed my first post screening talk experience. I am not sure it means I am good at talking, or it was just "beginner's luck". But I found myself I still had lots of things to tell to people!
